Fusion Music at its best

Every human being has a creative side residing in him. Only a few realise, understand and bring it out. Music is one such form of art in which not everyone can rise and shine. Its should be in your DNA. I have been following this guy for sometime now and he is nothing less than Genius. Yes, I am talking about Shankar Tucker.


He is a clarinist and a music composer of American Origin. His family were followers of Mata Amritanandamayi and on her suggestion he was named Shankar. He studied orchestral Clarinet performance on scholarship and is graduated from New England Conservatory of Music, one of the oldest independent school of music in United states located in Boston, Massachusetts.

He learnt fundamentals of Indian classical music from Peter Row a Sitar player. Shankar was keen on studying Classic Indian music at its source, he was given an opportunity and accepted as Student by the world famous Hindustani Flute player Hariprasad Chaurasia at his gurukul in Mumbai back in 2010. he has also performed on stage with his Indian guru, Ustad Zakir Hussein and recorded for one of bollywood's most prominent Music director, Pritam.

He blends classical Indian music, Jazz and popular music to create a seamless Fusion. His youtube Channel "TheShrutibox" features all his compositions with some of the popular singers and has more than 2 million hits.
